WIT Newsletter May 2026
Hello WIT!
It’s hard to believe that 2026 is already a third over! This year is just flying by. We’ve got some plans in the works for sprucing things up over the next couple of months, so keep your eyes out for that. We want to make sure that this really looks and feels like the open and welcoming community we work so hard to be.
If you missed it, you can catch our April meetup with Traci Sewell on our YouTube channel. Taking care of ourselves is one of the most important things we need to do, and her session, “When the Firehouse Causes the Burnout”, did just that. We’ll be rewatching this one to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Thanks again for presenting, Traci!
We’re also looking forward to our May session with Kendra Little. She will be presenting “The Anti-Hussle Guide to Technical Blogging.” This should be a great talk for all of us who blog, and we’ll be there taking notes. Make sure to go to the meetup event and sign up.
March and April definitely felt like conference season, so hopefully you were able to attend some of these and support some of the WIT speakers. There are still some open call for speakers, so make sure you submit so we can have more women voices represented. If you need help getting started, feel free to reach out.
As always, if there is something that we can do to better support you and other WIT in the data platform space, please let us know how we can help.
Looking forward to all that May has to offer!
Deborah, Tracy, and Kristy
